Glutathione is a tripeptide synthesized from Glycine, Glutamic acid and Cysteine. A primary intracellular antioxidant, essential to life, Glutathione is useful in preventing radiation injury before treatment has started, and is an important chelator of lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic.
